Private Commission

We’ll hunt the one car that’s yours.

Some cars aren’t in the Garage yet — the one from your first drive, your father’s, the exact spec you swore you’d own. Name it, and we go looking. A genuine, near-new seat, sourced for you and rebuilt into an heirloom that outlasts the desk it sits behind.

The Commission

Four steps, one car.

No two private commissions are alike. The path, however, is always the same — deliberate, and in that order.

I

You name the car.

Just the make and model — and, if it matters to you, a colour you’d love. An F355 in Blu Pozzi. A GT3 in Guards Red. Keep it simple; we take it from there.

II

We hunt the seat.

Through a private network of dismantlers, marque specialists and collectors, we source a genuine, near-new seat worthy of the name — never a reproduction, never a tired one. This is the work the sourcing fee sets in motion.

III

We confirm the find — and the commission.

Before a single tool touches it, we bring the find back to you with condition, provenance and the full commission. Nothing is built, and no balance is due, until you say the word.

IV

We hand-build the heirloom.

The seat is mounted to our 1,000-lb steel base, finished with solid walnut armrests and your laser-cut Signature Panel™. Assembled by hand, numbered, and delivered — a chair built to be sat in for a generation.

The Sourcing Fee

$199

A search retainer — credited in full toward your final commission.

Why we charge to look

A serious search deserves a serious brief.

The $199 is not a product price. It is a sourcing fee — a retainer that funds the hunt: the calls, the inspections, the network we lean on to find a seat that lives up to the car you named.

It also does quiet work of its own. A client commissioning a $10,000–$30,000 bespoke heirloom will not think twice about a $199 search fee — but it filters, gently, for real intent. It means we spend our network only on people who are genuinely ready to commission. The fee is credited toward your final commission, so for a serious client it costs nothing in the end.

  • It funds the hunt — real hours across a real network, not an automated listing.
  • It signals intent — we work with clients who are ready to commission, not to browse.
  • It is credited toward your commission — the $199 is applied to the final balance of the chair we build.

The Brief

Tell us the car.

The more you tell us, the closer the hunt lands. Everything below is a starting point — we’ll speak before anything is sourced or built.

01 You
02 The Car
Every seat we source is genuine, and carries the patina of a real, driven car — part of what makes it one of one. We restore each one by hand, and can usually present a few options, so tell us what you’d love and we’ll find the closest match.
03 The Commission
A guide only — it helps us pitch the right seat. The final commission is confirmed with you before any build.

Submitting your brief begins your private commission with the $199 sourcing fee at the next step — a search retainer, credited in full toward your final commission. No card details are collected here.

Next step: the $199 sourcing fee. Payment is handled securely — coming shortly.

The Assurance

Built slowly, sourced honestly, kept quiet.

Lead time
Sourcing, then 8–9 weeks

The hunt takes as long as it takes to find the right seat. Once confirmed, the build runs 8–9 weeks by hand.

Genuine, with real character
The real seat, never a copy

Every commission uses an authentic factory seat, verified for provenance. A car that has been driven carries its patina — we restore each seat by hand and honour that character rather than hide it. That is what makes yours one of one.

Discretion
A private arrangement

Your brief, your car and your commission stay between us. No listings, no names — the work speaks quietly.
