About Our Products

Each AutoStuhl is an individually hand-built, made-to-order piece of furniture, crafted from a genuine automotive seat and finished with a steel base, solid walnut armrests, and a laser-cut stainless Signature Panel™. Because our seats are sourced from real, previously used vehicles, each piece carries natural character — patina, creasing, grain variation, and marks of age are inherent qualities of genuine leather that has lived, not defects. Product images are representative; your piece will be unique.

Orders, Quotes & Acceptance

Submitting an order or commission is an offer to purchase. No contract is formed until we confirm your order and, where applicable, confirm final white-glove freight. We may decline or cancel any order — for example, if a genuine seat cannot be sourced, if there is an error in pricing or description, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund the amount paid for that order.

Pricing, Freight & Taxes

• Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change at any time before your order is accepted.
• White-glove freight is estimated by ZIP code and confirmed at fulfillment; the final freight amount is part of your total. See our Shipping Policy.
• Taxes. Prices exclude taxes. Where AutoStuhl is required to collect sales or use tax, it will be added to your order. Where we do not collect tax, you may still be responsible for any applicable use tax in your jurisdiction.

Payment

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method. For certain commissions we may collect a deposit or issue a secure payment link once details (including freight) are confirmed. Deposits are applied to your total and are subject to the cancellation terms below and in our Returns & Warranty policy.

Private Commissions & Deposits

For a Private Commission, we search for a genuine seat matching your requested make and model. When we locate one, we will present it to you for approval. A deposit then reserves that seat for you and must be paid within 48 hours; after that window, the seat may be released to another collector. Sourcing and deposit terms will be confirmed with you in writing before any charge.

Custom Signature Panel™ & Your Artwork

If you order a custom Signature Panel™ and upload artwork (a crest, monogram, logo, coordinates, signature, or other image), you represent and warrant that you own or have the right to use that artwork and that it does not infringe any third party’s intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights. You grant AutoStuhl a limited license to reproduce and laser-cut your artwork solely to produce your commission.

You agree to indemnify and hold AutoStuhl harmless from any claim arising out of artwork you supply. We may decline artwork that is unlawful, infringing, or that we cannot manufacture. Because custom panels are made to your specification, they are non-cancellable once production begins and are not eligible for return except in the case of a defect (see Warranty).

Lead Times & Delivery

Typical build time is 8–9 weeks, plus freight transit. Timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery. Please inspect your piece on arrival and note any damage — see our Shipping Policy.

Warranty

Each AutoStuhl carries a one-year warranty on the chair and a lifetime warranty on the steel base and casters, subject to the terms, coverage, and exclusions in our Returns & Warranty policy. Natural patina and the character of genuine used leather are not defects.

Intellectual Property

The Site and its content — including text, imagery, video, designs, the AutoStuhl name and marks, and the Signature Panel™ and Owner’s Registry™ concepts — are owned by AutoStuhl or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission. Vehicle marques and model names are the trademarks of their respective owners; AutoStuhl is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Except for the express warranty we provide, the Site and products are provided “as is” and “as available,” and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AutoStuhl’s total liability arising out of or relating to any order or the Site will not exceed the amount you paid for the product at issue, and we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alabama, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except that either party may seek to resolve a dispute through binding arbitration on an individual basis where permitted. To the extent permitted by law, you and AutoStuhl waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted at the time of your order governs that order. Continued use of the Site means you accept the current Terms.
