The Maranello Edition

TWO WILL EXIST.

Some objects are purchased.

Others are acquired.

The AutoStuhl F8 Maranello Edition belongs firmly in the second category.

It begins with an authentic Ferrari F8 seat—created for one of the most celebrated mid-engine V8 Ferraris of the modern era.

Then we build an entirely new object around it.

Steel. Stainless steel. Hand-finished materials. Bespoke detailing. Individual craftsmanship.

The result isn't an office chair inspired by a Ferrari.

And it isn't automotive memorabilia destined to sit behind glass.

It is a functional piece of automotive art designed to be sat in, worked in, admired and inevitably explained.

Only two AutoStuhl F8 Maranello Editions will be created.

When they're gone, this edition is complete.

720 CV.

But we're interested in where you sat.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo arrived as a celebration of Ferrari's extraordinary V8 lineage.

Behind the driver sat Ferrari's award-winning 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8, producing 720 cv and 770 Nm.

0–100 km/h took just 2.9 seconds.

Top speed: 340 km/h.

Ferrari described the F8 Tributo as the highest expression of its classic two-seat mid-rear-engined berlinetta.

And right in the middle of that experience was something most people rarely consider.

The seat.

The point where human being and machine actually met.

Designed to hold its occupant in an automobile capable of more than 200 mph.

Engineered around the driver.

Sculpted to belong inside a Ferrari.

We thought it deserved a rather interesting second life.

Ferrari Built The Seat.

AutoStuhl Built The Rest.

There's a very easy way to turn an automotive seat into an office chair.

Buy an inexpensive imported swivel base.

Fabricate an adapter.

Bolt the two together.

Done.

We couldn't do it.

Not with this seat.

And certainly not with this philosophy.

If an authentic Ferrari F8 seat was going to become an AutoStuhl, everything underneath it had to deserve everything above it.

So we engineered the chair as an object in its own right.

A substantial fabricated steel foundation.

Heavy-duty running gear.

Precision fabrication.

Individually finished components.

And construction intended not merely to support the chair today, but to become part of its permanence.

Because an extraordinary seat sitting on an ordinary foundation is still an ordinary chair.

This isn't.

Not Everything Valuable Belongs Behind Glass.

Sit in it.

That's important.

This isn't a museum piece pretending to be furniture.

It's furniture with the provenance of a collectible.

Ferrari F8 car-seat office chair by AutoStuhl — The Maranello Edition detail

Place it behind your desk.

In your private office.

Your study.

Your boardroom.

Your automotive collection.

Your garage gallery.

Your library.

Or beside the automobile that inspired the obsession in the first place.

Then use it.

Take meetings in it.

Read in it.

Think in it.

Work in it.

And occasionally sit back and appreciate the absurd pleasure of having an authentic Ferrari F8 seat as your chair.

We believe exceptional engineering deserves to be experienced.

Not merely observed.

Some Objects Deserve An Introduction.

A visitor walks into your office.

They notice it.

They look again.

Eventually:

“What is that?”

That's the moment we build for.

Because the answer isn't:

"It's an expensive office chair."

It's:

“It's an AutoStuhl. It was created from an authentic Ferrari F8 seat. They made two.”

That's a much better story.

One Of Two.

Made One Of One.

Only two F8 Maranello Editions will exist.

But yours doesn't have to look like the other one.

Every F8 can be commissioned with bespoke AutoStuhl Signature Panels, precision laser-cut from stainless steel and created specifically for its original owner.

This is where the object becomes personal.

Your family crest.

Your corporate mark.

Your initials.

A racing number.

A favorite verse.

A personal philosophy.

A meaningful date.

Your signature.

An important accomplishment.

A symbol known only to you.

Or virtually nothing at all.

Understatement can be just as personal.

We develop the artwork with you and create the panels specifically for your commission.

Two chairs may exist.

There will never need to be another one exactly like yours.

Your Story Belongs On It.

Most personalization is superficial.

Choose leather.

Choose stitching.

Choose a color.

We wanted to go further.

Ferrari F8 car-seat office chair by AutoStuhl — The Maranello Edition detail

Imagine commissioning the chair to commemorate the company you founded.

A business sold.

A championship won.

A career completed.

A 50th birthday.

A retirement.

A family name.

A personal milestone nobody else fully understands.

Or perhaps it's simply yours because you love Ferrari and discovered something even the person who seemingly owns every Ferrari collectible hasn't seen before.

That's what the Signature Panels allow.

The Ferrari provides part of the provenance.

You provide the next chapter.

01 / 02

Numbers matter when there aren't many of them.

Each Maranello Edition receives its permanent AutoStuhl commission number.

01 of 02

02 of 02

Not "one of approximately..."

Not "limited production."

Not an edition we'll quietly manufacture again if enough people ask.

Two.

Once both have been commissioned, the F8 Maranello Edition closes.

Certificate Of Provenance

Every F8 Maranello Edition is accompanied by its individual AutoStuhl Certificate of Provenance.

This documents the object's origin and original commission, including its AutoStuhl number, completion date, configuration, selected finishes and Signature Panel design.

It establishes where the piece began.

Because if an object is designed to remain desirable decades from now, its story shouldn't depend upon someone remembering it.

Fine automobiles have provenance.

Important watches have provenance.

Works of art have provenance.

So does this.

Built To Have A Second Owner.

We don't mean tomorrow.

We mean decades from now.

AutoStuhl isn't interested in disposable luxury.

We're interested in objects that acquire stories.

Wear shouldn't automatically mean replacement.

Age shouldn't automatically mean obsolescence.

A well-made object should become more interesting as its history becomes longer.

Our ambition is simple:

One day, someone other than you should want this chair.

And when they acquire it, the Certificate of Provenance and commission number will tell them exactly what they found.

The Gift For Someone Who Has Everything.

This phrase gets used far too often.

Usually immediately before someone suggests another watch, bottle of wine or monogrammed leather accessory.

But occasionally the description is accurate.

Some people really are extraordinarily difficult to buy for.

They have the car.

The watches.

The office.

The house.

The things they wanted.

Which means the only truly interesting gift left is something they didn't know existed.

A Ferrari F8 AutoStuhl qualifies.

There are only two opportunities to discover that you're apparently not quite as impossible to buy for as everyone thought.

A Different Kind Of Ferrari Experience.

You don't need to own an F8.

Although if you do, this decision may have just become considerably easier.

You don't even need to own a Ferrari.

You need to appreciate what the object represents.

Engineering.

Design.

Automotive history.

Craftsmanship.

Rarity.

And the simple pleasure of possessing something other people find fascinating.

Because AutoStuhl isn't about putting automotive logos on furniture.

It's about taking engineering worth preserving and giving it another purpose.
